Virginia is rich in history, and famous sites such as Montpelier and Monticello are close by. You’ll also find a range of small museums, art centers and historical sites dotted around the area.
Tour Local Vineyards
The Virginia wine region is having a renaissance, and Cabin Point Farm is located at its doorstep. Bring friends and family, relax outdoors and delve into the local terroir. Local vineyards like Barboursville, Old House, Early Mountain and Burnley are all within a 30 minute drive.
Bike, Kayak, Run
The rolling hills and back roads connecting Rapidan to Madison, Orange, and Culpeper are perfect biking terrain. To get on the river, get in touch with the Rapidan River Kayak Company.

The towns of Culpeper and Orange are burgeoning weekend destinations with a range of excellent dining, coffee and drinking options that often highlight local products. Hang with regulars at The Lightwell, or head to award-winning Grass Rootes and brewery Far Gohn.
